Design Pillars
Five principles that shape every system in MagiTech Frontier.
Everything You Eat Makes You Stronger
Food is the primary character growth vector. Every meal applies stat XP. Monster corpses, fishing catches, and cooked recipes each have unique trait profiles that map to attribute gains.
The Sea Creates Economic Pressure
Crew eat food, demand wages, and lose morale when idle. Port economies shift daily — wars break out, prices spike. The expedition reckoning at voyage end pays out everyone or triggers mutiny.
Your Base Runs Itself
Claim land anywhere on the hex map. Residents farm, craft, and sell while you're at sea. Policies automate the economy. Passive income streams compound over time.
Reputation Is a Currency
Every faction tracks your standing. High rep unlocks titles, land grants, and privateering warrants. Low rep closes ports, triggers arrest, and escalates crew morale risk.
Every Career Ends — Score It
Health degrades with age. The expedition reckoning is a one-way ratchet. Retirement is the win condition — your legacy rank is the score.
Three Loops, One Career
Every session weaves between moment-to-moment combat, voyage-scale decisions, and career-long strategy.
